        Important Information for Your Notary Session

Before proceeding with your notary session, please ensure you meet the following requirements:

• Reliable internet connection (for smooth video conferencing)

• Webcam or smartphone (for virtual meetings)​

• Valid government-issued photo ID (required for identification)

• Completed unsigned documents (ready for notarization)

• Mailing labels (for international & apostille services)

Identification requirements for notarial services are consistent across all 50 U.S. states.
Signee(s) must present valid and active photo identification.

Acceptable forms of identification include:

• State-issued driver’s license

• State-issued identification card

• U.S. military identification card

• Passport

• Government-issued photo ID

• Resident alien identification card (Green Card)

                                     Document Verification

Notarization is a legal process that authenticates signatures on documents, ensuring they meet the requirements of relevant legal jurisdictions.
This applies to both original and copied documents, such as utility bills and passports.

The Notary Public verifies the identity of the person signing and ensures they fully understand, agree with, and willingly accept the contents of the document.
Notarization may also verify the authenticity of copies of documents, such as passports or utility bills.

  Process Verification – What to Check Before You Sign

A Notary Public can only notarize signatures that are physically signed in their presence.

Before your session:

• Ensure documents are unsigned (you will sign during the session).

• Double-check with the requesting organization if unsure about document requirements.

• Bring an extra copy of your document, just in case.
